Fastercom is a Canadian company that produces transport optimization software. The company currently manages a continuous service for customers spread across both North America and Europe. Fastercom helps associations, organizations and businesses to control their road transport. The software offered by Fastercom is part of a sustainable and economic development approach.

Fastercom is recruiting a solutions specialist for an end-of-studies internship or a job, with the main mission of participating in the implementation and maintenance of computer applications such as TMS (Transport Management System). As a solutions specialist, you will be responsible for several missions, such as:

• Deploy, configure, and develop software solutions in Fastercom customer environments
• Improving the scalability, robustness, and performance of solutions
• Develop expertise on solutions to provide excellent software technical support to customers
• Develop and execute tests to ensure the quality of solutions provided to customers
• Participate in system architecture with project and operations teams
• Participate in the development of technical specifications, the solutions selected and the planning of their implementation

WANTED PROFILE

• DEC in computer science or equivalent, in progress or recently obtained
• Limited professional experience (end-of-studies internship or 0 to 2 years of experience)
• Ability to quickly understand the various components and logics of computer systems
• Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively
• Motivation and a taste for rapid learning to quickly increase skills and responsibilities
• Ability to work independently and motivation to work in a team
• Already legally authorized to work in Canada
• Ambition/Dynamism/Seriousness/Integrity and ethics
• Sense of customer service and the pursuit of excellence
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (Typescript is an asset)
• Database concepts
