IVADO mobilizes academic expertise that is unique in the world in order to bridge the gap between current artificial intelligence (AI) and human intelligence, to develop an AI capable of being deployed in changing and increasingly complex environments. These advances, which are based on collaboration between hard sciences and social sciences, will be used in priority areas for Canada, such as health and the environment. IVADO acts on three aspects to achieve this vision: research, training, and technology transfer.
